I found this little ugly duckling. The stamp is an 1863-74 Victoria 1d green Laureate, not checked as yet, but creased and toned, and not really relevant.

The postmark isn't complete, but clearly shows the date SP 2? 71, which is the new Earliest Recorded Date (of the only two known copies. The other, for sale at www.premierpostal.com is dated FE 25 73).

Sharp eye ... Nice find. I have another Queensland example of an earlier postage date that I haven't posted yet. Now, I have to find it again!

Isn't it funny how many of the ugliest ducklings turn out to be beautiful swans!

Nice find Jubilee

Jubilee, the earliest recorded date for the state of Victoria alone, please?

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is no. It is the earliest recorded date for Dunolly
