Hi @jkelley01938 Quote: I have 16 Mystic Premiums for my USA collection, 9 Palo's for my King George VI collection, 3 Davo's for my UK collection, and 2 Davo's for my Irish collection. I do not understand these terms completely now (I'll search the internet when I have time). I am a beginner in philately. But I think it's something magnificent. Thank you for participating in the topic. Best regards |

Hi @dkabq8 Great, that's how I plan to create my US stamps collection. I see you miss some stamps from Great Britain. I've put my UK collection here on the forum. If there's a stamp you do not have, I can change it for a US stamp I do not have. Of course if you are interested. BTW: Are you sticking stamps on album page completely or only partially? Best regards |

dkabq8, I have many more categories of plate number coils I haven't made pages for yet and will probably add at least 4 more albums for them. I collect a used single, strips of 3 and 5, imperfs and varieties (where applicable) and first day covers of each PNC. I design and print my own pages using 110lb cardstock, paper reinforcements front and back, and Showgard or Scott mounts cut to size. Here's a sample page: |

johnc,
Thank you for welcoming me. Remember, if you refine your collection slowly and occasionally pick up the supplies that you need little by little, you can grow an amazing collection. I've been collecting for 44 years, but have come to appreciate taking things slow and enjoying the hobby only in about the last 5 years. I now get great joy out of all the different aspects of collecting, from reading articles and online books to just looking at the stamps with a magnifier and appreciating the beauty of the engraving and colors.

Hi @Walkman82 Very beautiful album sheet. I have one question if you can answer. I see you on this sheet in post above you've got a pair of stamps on which the red color is omitted. How did you come to her, if it was not a secret? I thought stamps which during manufacturing an error occurs, should be destroyed. But as far as I can see they are still found in circulation. for example: if during production the perforation of the shutter is moved, as if it were in circulation. Simply, I'm interested in this information. I apologize if I did not use the correct terms in my question. I hope you understand what I'm asking for? Best regards |

10 albums for me. USA Volume 1 is 1848-1999; USA Volume 2 is the 21st century. |

Johnc, I read your question to walkman82, and I can answer. Yes, these are supposed to be destroyed. But if you have a stamp of which millions and millions are being printed some problems are bound to slip by. They are not easy to find though!

Hi johnc, I acquired the stamps with the red ink missing on ebay several years ago. Errors of this type can be found from stamp dealers, stamp auctions, or online on sites like ebay. I collect most errors such as this in my plate number coil collection. Hope this helps. |
