I wanted to ask for help to clarify the brands Scott 634 Performance (11x10, 5), as they are very similar, and I find it difficult to understand the directory number......

hello, you already identified it correctly as 634, there is no further investigation necessary, no measurements.

these links will help you:

Don: I have to admit that I always use google to find the information in Stampsmarter, I miss an easy content area on the start page (= link list directly visible) and a search field directly there. Also, in the search results, Google seems to give other preview texts including the heading text, also if the site title is only "Stamp Smarter". Once I find the information, your site is great. I tried with "stamp smarter 634" in Google and "634" in Stampsmarter's search.

Understood. Organizing over 2100 pages and 75,000 files is not a trivial task. This is made even more difficult with the new requirement to support mobile devices.

Complex or 'deep' navigation menus are penalized in SEO now. So the requirement is to use simple menus that support fat fingers and swipes.

Lastly, I am the sole developer and working with a limited budget. I invested in a search tool but obviously do not have the pockets of a search engine like Google.

I can only hope that folks understand these limitations and feel that the massive amount of content is worth becoming familiar with the site and learning how to use it.

sure you are absolutely right with all that. your search is fine, perhaps the thing with the site title is something that can be included easily, this would help (I am not at all a web pro). With the link list I just meant some list of "best of" of your site, like the most used areas. Both is only optional, I know, just wanted to mention it once.
examples for those links:
http://www.stampsmarter.com/1847usa...ntifier.html
http://www.stampsmarter.com/1847usa...nkNotes.html
http://www.stampsmarter.com/1847usa...ankmain.html
http://www.stampsmarter.com/feature...rank_ID.html
http://www.stampsmarter.com/Learnin...ssary_A.html

and maybe
http://www.stampsmarter.com/learnin...SStamps.html
http://www.stampsmarter.com/learnin...erTypes.html
http://www.stampsmarter.com/learnin...methods.html
http://www.stampsmarter.com/learnin...ermarks.html (saw this tool the first time now)

the information in the mentioned links is actually a bit hidden behind slideshows and tiles. maybe some kind of favorite / shortcut on the main page would help ("popular links").
