Hi msmsms, and welcome to this forum. The second one is Japanese - Mount Fuji and the chrysanthemum are a dead give away.

msm,
First stamp is People's Republic of China 1952 "Physical Exercises" Sc#141 or others.
The code at the bottom of the stamp, identifies it, from the rest of the set.

The Chinese "Physical Exercises" has a reprint edition issued in 1955, the original edition like Rod told you it was issued in 1952.

They are same design, but the paper of reprint is thicker than the original.

The chrysanthemum design (the circle that looks vaguely like flower petals) is a dead giveaway for Japan:

as is the figure "8" symbol on the right in the above image.

On the China stamp, the symbol on the bottom left, looking like a horizontal rectangle with a vertical line through it, sends you to China. The same symbol is on the top left of this fragment:

Yes Collin, the Chinese characters "#20013;#22269;#20154;#27665;#37038;#25919;" were on the PRC stamps and postcards, etc, until the end of 1991, mean "the people's postal service of China". After that, the Chinese characters became to "#20013;#22269;#37038;#25919;", mean "China Post".
