I looked at the items auctioned but do not understand how to bid

The text fromthe web site says "Lotting of the material is underway and the "working" list for the auction has been posted here. The list and photos/scans will probably be updated weekly, so check back often to make sure you spot the lots you want!"
I believe this is just a preliminary listing. The final lots will be completed at some point and then there will be a way for one to bid. You will just have to be patient.
