Interesting.A hundred years ago this would of meant overprinted stamps
or charity issues.Today I don't know if this is the case.Will have
to find out.

This is a great / wild story. I'd be very curious to see a cover/postmark/stamp?? If anyone gets their hands on one, please post a picture!

If the post office is located in Turkey, then how could it be called Turkish post offices in Syria? It's a Turkish post office in Turkey. Would it be more proper to say "Syrian Offices in Turkey?"

Jarablus is a village in Syria - just inside the border. That PTT is a Turkish post office - located in Jarablus - so at least for that one, a Turkish post office in Syria would be accurate.
