Seller cites sale history but omits most recent--this past Feb 28 at Kelleher Sale 711, Lot 1617 (hammered at $750, well below suggested minimum bid of $1000).

A very nice piece. Not too many intact strips left.

A Kelleher hammer of $750 would equate to a $885 cost with the 18% buyer fee added (disregarding shipping cost), so the suggested minimum bid of $1,000 represents a 13% dealer profit, which does not seem unreasonable to me.

I was very tempted to go after some of those multiples in that sale last month. Lots of nice strips and blocks, including this one.

Hmmmm. Always find it strange that lot is up on ebay likely before it even made it into the buyers hands.
It all just seems... wrong

Makes no sense... what about ebay 10%? Is seller taking a loss on the item? Or perhaps it failed to meet a reserve?
