Good Morning,

Needless to say, I have a few of these US 1919 SC #537 victory issues. The problem for me typically is identifying what is what.

Scott Catalog has these as...
violet
a. deep red violet
b. light reddish violet
c. red violet

Please let me know what I have here so I identify these stamps correctly.

Thanks for looking

in addition you can search for the Scott numbers in Siegel database, where (the recent ones) the stamps mostly show quite good the colors. the PF database does not always show the colors correct.

Only problem with 537 shades is, that all of the color references
available DO NOT CORRESPOND to Scott... so, trying to match to Scott
and estimate a value is an effort in futility...
