Ran into a bad situation today with lighthouse top loading mounts purchased in Canada so would like to know if others use them and what they have found.

I have always bought top load mounts and you measure the stamp and that is what is on the mount package. In other words a stamp measuring 26 mm on the guage requires a mount with 26 but the actual mount is 30mm high to allow for 2 mm on the top and bottom.

I ordered some lighthouse mounts from Trajan Publications in Canada and what I received for lighthouse mounts were packages labelled 30 because the actual mount is 30 mm high but it will only take a 26 mm stamp.

So, if I want the mounts to hold a 30 mm high stamp. I would have to order a 34 mm mount package size.

Has any one run into this with newer lighthouse top loading mounts because my older lighthouse mounts are measured the same as everybody elses.

No where on the package or their site do they make any mention of this new situation.

I have run into this recently, but with Davo, purchased a large amount of top load Easy mounts, however the packages for a 26mm stamp are identified as T26 and the strips are 215*30. Initially I ignored the T designation and purchased based on actual size, which was wrong. Perhaps this way is what all manufacturers are doing now.
