I was organizing my AMG occupation stamps, and noticed the green lines within the number.

Nothing is mentioned in Michel, so I wanted to see if anyone has seen it before?

Thanks

Could be a case of poor plate wiping? These were wartime stamps, so one could expect anything,

Nice stamp! This series is one of my favorites because you can find all kinds of printing irregularities beyond the Michel listed varieties. There are under- and over-inked stamps, air bubbles, dirty plates, broken lines, and other technical deficiencies, as previously mentioned. Here is another one.

Hi,

DC, It is not a plate flaw but an interesting stamp. Like Peter wrote, the after war production was not as good as before.

That brought a lot of quality issues.

The 80 Pfg of bookbndrbob is a good example as well.

Quality issue in the printing and perforation. Using worn perforation machines made such nice varieties. they are known and catalogued.

Here some examples:

Metal in gum:

Perf variety:

Plate flaw on Nr.922 (Position 80 on HAN 4042.46 1)

Thanks, folks - I guess I will need to take a closer look at my other stamps in the series. I don't necessarily collect oddities, flaws, etc, but it always interesting when you find one.

John, this is a really nice example of a pre-printing paper fold.

Hi,

John's stamp is a very nice example. For the numeral serie of 1946. Value range from 5 to 8 euros for used copy.
