In looking at the catalog, I find the progression of numbers and dates as follows: 1. Original stamp: 1910, A40, #314 2. Villa monogram added 1915 and is now identified as #459, A40 3. #459 is overprinted with "Barril" and listed as #586, A40, 25c on 5c (G)
I do not see a stamp type A40 listed with both the "barril" and the Villa monogram that has a 20c value.
Must look farther in the catalogue Scott._ No. 586 ? overprint on no.459 The 20 & 25 exist but no reference in Scott for the 20 Barril ovpt. & Villa monogram ovpt. on the same stamp....? Scott mentions forgeries abound of the monogram ovpt.
Follansbee book on revolutionary issues considers only Barril 25 cents over Villa monogram on 5 cents 1910, and the Barril colour would be green.
The Barril would be over the Villa monogram. In the photo, we can see a black 20 cents Barril. However, it looks like the Villa monogram is over the Barril, this would indicate that the Villa overprint is a forgery.
