Awhile back, I had done a quick ID on this stamp and was sticking it into my album, when I noticed it had serpentine roulette instead of perforations!

I don't see anything listed in some of the major catalogs about serpentine roulette for this stamp (Scott, Michel, Facit...) and I cannot seem to find it among the forgeries with the info I have.

I'll leave the window completely open for possibilities, and ask members to help me identify the stamp (original, re-issue, or reprint) by any catalog number if genuine; or let me know which forgery if it is a fake.

Thank you!

k

It's neither an Official reprint or authentic. It's not the same stamp as in
Stampforgeries even though the perfs are identical..

Thanks, perfs12!

Agreed, the gap between the horizontal background lines and the inner frame lines do not match either the genuine or reprints.

Also agreed, while the serpentine roulette is similar to the forgery shown on Stampforgeries, the design elements have noticeable differences.

Then can anybody identify the source of this forgery?
