I like your private post stamps from Germany, are they fairly widely used there? I visit relatives in Munich and near Koblenz almost every year, and there are stamp stores I visit....I love looking through their 20 cent per item box (it used to be ten pfennigs, then ten Euro-cents, but I'm dating myself!)

Every once in a while I see a private post "stamp" but I still only have a couple dozen from modern Germany. I like to save entire covers ("postal history") of all eras, and countries. Not First Day Covers (FDC's) though, since I prefer sent-through-the-mail type covers. I have quite a few 1971 British covers when they had a post office worker strike, but the covers are generally "contrived" as they are mostly to the same address. Still it is fun!
