Hello Everyone
Have purchased in the market place this R45a [no documentation]
Can anyone shed any light on this matter: A double cancellation 8 years a part?
As you can see 1 cancellation dated March 2, 1863
2 cancellation dated Jan, 11, 1871
Any ideas?

From a stock certificate originally bought in 1863 and sold in 1871 with the stamp inadvertently getting the 1871 cancel due to the close placement of an additional 25 cent stamp for the sale transaction.
