That's a good method. Another is to start with the most generic category (Main Stamp Collecting Forum) and go from there to see if there is one that fits better.
Just putting something under any category may not get you any response. Hate to say it, but this post doesn't really belong under "US covers". Moderators may do you the favor of moving your topic to a more appropriate category.
