Good Morning,

Have a look at this stamp perforation and let me know your thoughts - I will attempt to crop the underside fold and see if it fits or extends beyond the stamp. I will post that pic soon. Feel free to comment...

Well I'm not certain that this crop / paste / rotation is 100% accurate - but the piece fits and does not extend beyond the stamp.
What exactly happened?

I would appreciate any expert opinions.

Indicators in white


Folded perf cut - estimated fold area


Folded perf cut - isolated / rotated


Folded perf cut - placed over back


Appears to fit like a glove.

I think if you soak it, the piece will just come apart.You can see the thins below hidden by the piece.Clumsy restoration..

Good call perf12 - you were right, piece fell right into place - I believe it just naturally tore / folded though... by mere accident. I don't see anything mischievous about the stamp. Had me stumped though! Sure looked like some kind of perforation error at first!
