The print quality of this issue was notoriously poor.

Here's an interesting ink smudge. Found this in a plate block collection I was breaking down.




Look at the bottom left stamp. I thought it was a coffee stain at first, but there's no disturbance to the gum and I realized the color matched the plate number and the brown in the bird.

Worth anything? Nah....but it's interesting.

Stampman, you are correct - that is not a coffee stain. But when a flicker eats one of them dark purple berries...................
