I emailed the following to the general ASDA email address on April 16th 2018. I did not receive a reply. Subject: ASDA logo use on ebayHi,
I note over the past few months that some sellers on ebay have started to display the ASDA logo on their lots and search results. Given the well-known and well-earned reputation of some of these sellers within the online philatelic community, I must candidly say that when I see a lot for sale with the ASDA logo on ebay I ignore the listings and move on.
At least 2 sellers I have personally dealt with do not remotely measure up to the stated mission and standards of the ASDA and their continued membership reflects a lack of resolve on the part of the ASDA to genuinely govern and regulate your membership.
The ASDA logo has begun to lose it's cache; display of the logo on seller's ebay listings has certainly achieved a marketing goal with many philatelists who spend money on the hobby- the devout disregard of materials offered by the sellers who display it.

Nothing will happen. The ASDA has thrown their lot in with ebay and they will not rock the boat in any way shape or form. They sponsor ASDA shows. Deal with the devil......... |

Has a member of this forum compiled a list of ebay sellers who display the ASDA logo? The only 2 I know of are Anthony's and angloamericanappraisal. |
