I just came across this in a lot.

I don't believe it exists in a cancelled form.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

It's not a 318. Horrible picture, but you can still pretty clearly see the remains of the perforations at the top right of the stamp where someone trimmed off the perfs to create the forged 318...
