This seller, Hayden Stamps, continues to sell bogus overprints on GB stamps and Hitler heads despite me reporting him dozens of times. https://www.ebay.com.au/str/haydenp...=11486115011His response when I queried him was that his notation "priv issue" made it clear they were fakes. I chose to disagree with him. Reports from other people would be useful to stop this guy printing more of this rubbish |

The most effective approach may be if 5-10 people would buy the cheaper ones he has listed but then leave a neutral feedback noting that the private issue = faked overprint. ebay would be less likely to remove a neutral feedback and the neutral feedback comments would be a way to increase awareness with other potential buyers. The term "private overprint" may or may not be used to deceive collectors...especially beginners.
After reading this thread, I submitted the term to the SCF glossary. |
