Got Some Stamps With W And Mult On Back

Going through stamps recently got boxes full from ex dealer and lots have w and mult on the back would anyone have an idea what that means

Multiple CA watermark?

Do these stamps have a printed design,or indication of what country they are from? It might help to identify the watermark.

Maybe a picture would help?

If they are GB Wilding definitives, it probably means multi crown watermark. Some are very difficult to see.

GB wildings had three different watermarks none of which had W and a multi crown design. In the absence of the picture I'dd go with GeoffHas suggestion of watermark. If you look in the Gibbons Commonwealth catalogue you will see all the watermarks illustrated near the front. If you haven't got one try the local library. They will almost certainly have a copy or have to get it on Inter library loan.

Sorry dont have time to go into more detail. These are the 3 watermarks used on Qe2 stamps, as seen from the back of the stamps. The 3rd one is multi crown.
