Among my volunteer jobs, I am the webmaster and newsletter editor for the Northwest Philatelic Library out of Portland, Oregon. Though I now live about 200 miles east of Portland I still help out remotely.

I'm always searching for topics of interest that might make a good feature article for the newsletter. Last year, when the Library acquired the three-volume set of "Drummond's Catalog of Philatelic Miscellany" I thought -- hey, I know that guy! So I recently asked Jim if he would mind doing a Q&A via email that I could turn into an article. He was happy to comply, so I peppered him with questions about what it takes to compile a catalog and the result can be read in the current issue of the NPL newsletter "Book Reports."

We post the current issue on the Library website and if anyone would like to read it you can download the PDF version at http://www.nwpl.org/newsletter.html.

Great interview! Jim is only 2/3 as crazy as I thought he was.

I took a quick look and you do not see interviews like this available (printed or online) so quite interesting.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to give the newsletter a look. I was quite pleased with how the article came out -- many thanks to Jim for giving such detailed answers.

If anyone has suggestions for future article topics, I'm all ears!
