Most stamp collectors recognize these stamps from Germany's "Number, Worker, Posthorn, and Ploughman" definitive series of 1921-2. Stamps were issued with both lozenge and network watermarked paper.

The two lower values (Sc #s349-50) of Latvia's July 3, 1993 "21st National Song Festival" set of 3 stamps show the announcement of the festival in a gold-bordered diamond.

On September 28, 1967, Liechtenstein issued this 50c stamp (Sc #425) to publicize its membership in E.F.T.A.

From wikipedia, "The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is a regional trade organization and free trade area consisting of four European states: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland."

This 3 franc, May 3, 1971 stamp (Sc #502) of Luxembourg commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Luxembourg Christian Worker's Union.

On May 7, 1998 Germany issued this 110 pf stamp (Mi #1988) to commemorate the centenary of the German Rural Women's Association. Stamp depicts a list of the Association's goals.

Here is Liechtenstein's March 7, 1994, 60 c stamp (Sc #1019) commemorating the 275th anniversary of Liechtenstein. Stamp depicts Charles VI's decree.

From wikipedia, "On January 23, 1719, Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor, decreed that the counties of Vaduz and Schellenburg be promoted to a principality with the name Liechtenstein for his servant Anton Florian of Liechtenstein whereby he and his successors became Princes of the Holy Roman Empire."

Liechtenstein Post commemorated its first day of autonomous service on January 1, 2000 with the issuance of this 90 c stamp (Sc #1164).

From wikipedia, "Liechtenstein Post AG is the postal service of Liechtenstein since 2000. Prior to that, postal service of the principality was managed by Swiss Post from 1 February 1921 until 31 December 1999 upon the signing of a postal treaty signed between the Swiss Confederation and Liechtenstein on 10 November 1920 as part of the customs union between the two states."

On May 20, 1975 the Republic of Korea issued this 10 won stamp to commemorate the centenary of the International Metre Convention.

From wikipedia, :The Metre Convention is an international treaty that was signed in Paris on 20 May 1875 by 17 nations. The treaty created the International Bureau of Weights and Measures."
