I have three plate blocks of the same issue. Two have the same number and the third has a different number. Could someone please give me a briefing on the numbering method for sheets of stamps in 1962?
The number is the plate number - some stamps are printed by more then just one plate. I you want to know about plate numbers and what numbers go with what stamp you should get the Durland plate number catalog.
For the plate number lookup you would have to enter the plate number 27276-27275
I restrict the plate number lookup to an exact match. If the search used a 'contains' it would return too many results. For example, if a user entered a '1' it would return every plate number with a '1' in it.
But with an exact match it only returns plate number that have only a '1'. Don
