Perfins - Identification Requested

My area only has dial up web service so I could not fully research the various submissions in my search on the topic 'perfins".

I would appreciate knowing the user of the following the perfins found on these two Canadian stsmps.

This one appears to be - NLY




This one appears to start with a C and I've shown two examples as one may be upside down. The style of the C is not the same as the C in CNR or CPR.

Long shot.........
A few missing pins, maybe CIL Canadian Industries Ltd (Former Canadian Explosives)

The 3 pins of the "I" are far apart, which is unusual, hence the guess.
