SG lists the DLR printing of 1/2d Thrush as 193a. Did Scott assign a number? I do not have that Scott cat.

The basic stamp is Scott 128. I do not have a current edition, but there is no mention of the DLR printing in my version.

To be specific, Falkland Islands SG 193 is listed by the Stanley Gibbons Catalogue as 1/2d Black & Myrtle-Green. SG 193a is listed as a DLR (De La Rue) Printing and is Black & Green.

The original stamps from the set were printed by Waterlow, and later printings were issued by De La Rue.

In the case of other Colonies (like British Guiana), the De La Rue printings have a different sized perforation. However in this case it is strictly a color shade. However, if you read the notes after the set you will also see that the shading on the Queen's portrait is different between the two printings.

I do see a difference in shading on left side of face and a small difference in color. If it had not been for Steiner including pages of it along with an illustration I would not have known about it.
