Hello,

I am almost done with my custom covers commemorating the 100th birthday of my grandmother. How did I do?

- The cachet is a photo of grandmother.
- Stamps include SC# 486 (issued 1918, year of her birth) & Flag Act stamp of 2018, which was chosen for obvious reasons, namely her birthday is on Flag Day
- The covers (40 of them) were cancelled today, Jun 14, 2018
- Cancellation and post marking took place at grandmother's hometown post office in Prescott AZ

- I plan to have grandmother write her name on all 40 of them tomorrow

How'd I do? Would you suggest anything else? It's my first custom cover. I hope to mark many more family events in a similar way.

A+++ - what a great idea! Did you address one to go through the mail to her?

Awesome. I did a "first day of issue" cover when my nephew was born, postmarked on the day of his birth. Treasured family keepsakes.

I did not make time to send one to her from my home in Colorado. I didn't think that would be as meaningful and I didn't want the cover to get damaged. I do see the value in having one actually go thru the post office. An amazing step would have been mailing one from the city of her birth Tombstone AZ to where she lives now in Prescott.
