After a break to complete college and raise a family I am ready to get back into my plate block collection. I have recently bought a few through
ebay but have a couple of questions before venturing into the pre-1938 issues. Main question is why do the margin sizes vary? Did they come from the post office that way? Or were they trimmed by collectors? Finally, does the margin size affect value? Thanks for any input.
