Hello, Community! I am, despite my user name, from the states. I recently have became fascinated with stamps from the US and all over the world. I have a considerable collection that I want to thin out and keep a palatable amount to base my core collection on. It's going to be a long and studious task of learning. Hopefully I've come to right place and will meet some trust worthy people who can assist me on my journey!
I am Interested in learning about stamps after gaining access to an overwhelming collection, literally a mountain of catalogued and loose stamps yet to be sorted. I am deeply enamored in what I have seen so far, but after much reading and self educating have found that I've hardly scratched the tip of the iceberg.
All in all, I've come here to learn and possibly trade/sell with others.
Welcome to the Group! I'd like to hear how you came upon your overwhelming collection! I love hearing stories of people that have a stamp collection dropped into their laps. Or stories of people that make huge finds at garage sales or estate sales!
