The upcoming Harmer-Schau APS auction is not on SAN but rather on Redpoint. Does anyone have experience with Redpoint?

I will not speculate on why the change but it would be interesting to know what prompted it.

There is no change. They have never had the live part of their auction on SAN (you can leave bids in advance on SAN).

Thank you Stephen. I could have sworn that I live bid with Schau on SAN. I guess not.

Funny, I had the same reaction. I bought some material from them last year in a live auction. Good stuff.

I thought it was SAN based, but upon going back and looking, I definitely had to register at their site, and bid there. Time flies.

I'm pretty sure the H-S auction in January 2018 had live bidding on SAN. My bids show up on SAN history and I don't think they would if I'd bid on Redpoint.

You can bid before the auction on SAN, but the live bidding is thru Redpoint.

It just dawned on me that it was Schuyler-Rumsey that I was thinking of.

I just spoke to Harmer-Schau about the auction and I asked if they have used SAN Live Bidding and the answer is;

Never

Yes and it was terrible. My favorite is the Rasdale system because of the 7 second count down clock. On SAN sometimes it feels like you're in suspense for 10 minutes waiting for them to call the item.

I've bid using Redpoint before. It's workable. I don't remember much about it but I didn't have any problems.
