Last Tuesday afternoon ( ebay time), I was high bidder in two auctions of a seller in Stockholm, Sweden. The sellers auction listings state the he will combine shipping. At the completion of the auctions, ebay sent their "you won, pay now" emails for each auction. I waited for the seller's email.

No email Wednesday morning, so I sent the seller an email requesting a combined invoice. About 10:00 Wednesday night, ebay sent the following email;

"Dear littleriverphil2,

Thank you for shopping on ebay! Your total amount due is $13.29. More details about your purchase are included below.

Item # Item Title Quantity price amount

132698622976 Ukiah 1899 uprated 1 $3.25 $3.25
382516462799 Ukiah 1897 double uprated 1 $7.39 $7.39
subtotal $10.64
Shipping and handling via standard shipping $2.65
Total $13.29"

I paid the ebay invoice via paypal and this morning received another ebay email, telling me my items have shipped. I still have not received any communication from the seller, who wanted $2.50 for standard shipping.

Looks like ebay handled everything and added 15 cents handling.

I would not blame ebay getting extra money on this. It may be the way the seller has specified combining the shipping when he listed the items. I list such a variety of items that I don't even use ebay's combining shipping feature and tell my customers to wait for my invoice and I will combine the shipping. I would try to keep emailing the seller for a corrected invoice and a refund small as it may seem.
