Are Israel MS Worth Collecting?

I'm interested in starting a collection of Israel MS.
Is this worth concentrating on?
Any comments would be much appreciated.

Miniature sheets - what you may call "souvenir sheets"!

In general, and doubtless for a variety of reasons, substantial ranges of Israel stamps seem to go very cheaply these days, so, if you like them, you should be able to pick them up without spending too much.

Israel SS. My father collected everything Israel including souvenir sheets. He loved learning and studying and supporting Israel. The MS are colorful and historically interesting. Prices are low now compared to an earlier time so much can be obtained if this is your area of interest.

A large one owner collection of Israel went across the block two weeks ago. It may be useful to review. Lot 835 is the beginning.

Interesting how far off (i.e. on the high side) most of Kelleher's estimates of the Israel lots were.

Why ask if they are 'worthwhile' collecting?? If they appeal to you, then collect them! Why does everything have to have a value to consider collecting them? Some of us forget it is just a hobby. Sorry if I sound like I'm ranting.

I agree with Bujutsu. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and in truth *anything* is collectible if you enjoy it.

Many revenue stamp collectors have enjoyed putting together year calendars based upon cancel date and/or stamp type. Has very little market value, but think of the enjoyment one could get out of hunting for the dates you need?

I dabble in the stamps of Indonesia and the South Moluccas... areas that no one in their right mind would collect.

Why? Because it's fun.
