I'm looking at this imperforate revenue in an APS circuit book and thought I'd ask what everyone thinks about the cancellation date. Looks to me to be Jan 16, 1865.
From what I've been reading in the posts here over the past couple years, anything beyond 1863 is too late to be genuine.

Thanks all. I've added this to the collection. Catalog was only $27.00 and I picked it up out of a circuit for $20.00. I thought that a fair price, given the ginormous side margins.
Toppan and Holland (1899) say that the total number of $1.00 Conveyance issued up to April 30, 1864 was 326,326. Of that number 18,286 were imperforate.
Using dates can be tricky, for places like S.F. they can go right to 1871 and still be genuine imperfs or part perfs. They should really only be used with other characteristics to determine genuineness. For example, this stamp is the correct shade and impression, and has good margins.
