Must be a lot heavier than they look if seller is shipping them freight! Maybe selected the wrong shipping option. |

I do not see the problem. Why not contact the seller if you are interested,

I don't get the point of the complaint. Since ebay made the change (long ago) that FV fees are due on both item amount and shipping cost, *and* that buyer returns on SNAD complaints include original shipping costs, the split between item and shipping costs is moot. $125 shipping on $63 item = $188 net $63 shipping on $125 item = $188 net $187 shipping on $1 item = $188 net Newsflash: All 3 of the above cost the buyer exactly the same in the end. I've never understood the splitting of hairs between item cost and shipping when it's the sum that ultimately matters. Why do you think it is that ebay price sorting includes shipping cost? Because it's only the total that matters. |

It's the total that matters, but, if a seller is trying to fiddle extra money on postage, it raises questions about his or her honesty and reliability. |

I will buy nothing from him (mjaffe) any more due to my bad experience buying a QE II volume of albums.
Bought a set of albums and some had severe ring problems. Emailed him and was told he would see if he had another and never heard back. I emailed him again and got no response. High seller feedback means absolutely nothing.
A lot of the supplies came from Regency Superior and I am sure it was picked up dirt cheap and not properly stored.
Once burnt, I will never buy from a seller again |

I contacted them. Shipping price was wrong and they corrected to $12.50. Sometimes sellers make mistakes. |

Thank you Partime.
It takes just as long to open a thread and write a post as it does to contact a seller and ask them a question; it would save time and avoid problems if folks would contact a seller before starting threads like this. Don |

I have a current listing open for UK covers on ebay. I'm asking for $23.50 shipping because that's what the post office told me for postage to the UK (I checked with them beforehand). The listing is for $.99! I also told the prospective buyers that I would credit their PayPal $10- for shipping within the USA. I find shipping a real big problem buying and selling GB and Commonwealth stamps. Jack Kelley |

Don, I understand what you're saying, but have you ever tried doing this? Contacting a seller to point out an error or to dispute a lot description does not often turn out well, at least for me.
I sometimes post links to lots I find interesting or even amusing. Or if something is unusual about them.
Since the seller has confirmed he made a typo on this, I'm moving on. Thanks for all the input. |

Understood, I have contacted over 400 ebay sellers and our Stamp Smarter Review database has over 1000 contacts; using those numbers about 35% of the sellers react poorly. So you are correct that some do not take kindly; there are even risks in doing this (such as retaliatory purchases followed by negative feedbacks). So I do understand why some folks may not want to contact sellers. Don |

OK, well I just scored the best collection ever! The seller gave me a small discount because I noted the poor shipping cost, and we made a deal. I was expecting a partially filled album of newer, Mint stamps, but boy was I wrong. The very first page gave me a hint of what I would find inside. Now, this was slightly disappointing because of the cut-to-shape Scott 5, 6 and 7, but the others looks pretty darn good. Then I turned the page to see more. And, finally, a few pages later, I found the following. This is going to be fun! |

Yep. Very happy. I'll post some more examples later, but so far up to $6000 in cat value in higher quality items, and only through about 10 pages. Easily my best purchase. |
