People collect O.H.M.S. perfin stamps....There are lots and lots of anomalies with these stamps..I picked Scott 0249F O.H.M.S. perfins for a good example.

REMEMBER..These don't make your stamps rare, but they are distinctive and fun to collect.

Scott 0249F stamp below....


Here are 5 examples of how for apart perfins on these stamps can be...See below for MM differences..
A - 2.5mm
B - 3mm
C - 8.5mm
D - 14.55mm
E - 14.7mm



I noticed 3 different size perforation holes as shown below..


Sometimes perfin machine holes do not line up as shown below...


Broken perfs happening on the same run as shown below...
This stamp on the right is classified as..
"0" is 01, 07, and 04
"M" is M8
"H" is H2, and H9


Last is perfin dates..Here are 2 examples of 4 hole small O.H.M.S.
Left stamp is 1935 - 1946
Right stamp is 1942 - 1949
