Hi, I'm usually pretty good with identifying stamps but this one has stumped me. I've compared some of the symbols against examples in two stamp identifier books with no luck. The fact that the stamp indicates "cents" may indicate Malaya but I'm at a loss.
I'm not near my stamp catalogs at the moment, but it's China, and, I believe, Taiwan after the split. See if that helps narrow it down for you. I can do some looking later if you have no luck in tracking it down, or, more likely, someone else will come by who can provide more detailed information for you.
