Is there a comprehensive catalog for the Match & Medicine facsimiles? I have the Springer handbook and there are many more facsimiles than was is documented there. It would be great if there was something online, like there is for the M&M stamps.
I am not aware of anything online (other than my self-generated album pages in the other thread). There is a revised version of Springer in the works, but I don't know if that will list all the facsimiles or just the labels that are substantially the same as the stamps. Jim Drummond's catalog has an extensive listing of facsimiles - but not on-line.
Springer only listed facsimiles that were used as labels and only if they closely resembled the issued stamp (what Holcombe described as Type I labels). Drummond lists these labels, also labels that do not closely resemble the issued stamps (what Holcombe describes as Type II labels) and other items that are not facsimiles of M&M stamps.
