Did someone practice scissor therapy on this stamp, or was there such perforation? If so, what's the story behind it?

Hi, to me this peforation is different from the original comb perforation of the stamp. If is true I do not know , as is so deep comparing with the perforation on the other 3 sides.Do not want to formulate a verdict.
I will follow this topic, interesting.

Thanks for your answers.
When dealers send me, as stamps, air mail stickers, tabs without their stamps and half stamps, no wonder I'll get disfigured stamps pretending to have interesting features.

I wonder if someone took some sort of office type punch, ticket punch or otherwise to the envelope after opening it to mark it. Sure does not look a postal type like O.H.M.S. or others.

It's very clear cut and symmetrical, so it wasn't made by hand.

Kind of reminds me of a crown turned sideways.

I agree with Mike, a hand punch.
I do not have a similar format in my database.( about 8 shapes)

If it is, then what needs to be explained, is how it occurred on a postally (wavy lines) cancelled stamp.

Not my image.

Do you think these hand punches were postal related, or were they have done just for fun or whatever, the mail man's un getting bored? It reminds me of the bus driver's hand punch that was used in my childhood.

I would have said a cheque as well, but the wavy line cancel is definitely postal.
