Got 2 postmarks I can't ID.
Left I believe it says "WALE I ..." Could that be an alternative spelling of Vale? Ifso, "Vale/Wale I where?
On the right, I get "...ORA...KJA". My sources don't have anything like that. Any help, please?
Thank you in advance.

It looks like the stamp on the left has been hit with the postmark twice. This makes the first letter look like a W but is probably a V.

VALE Telemark

The second (Crown and Posthorn) would appear to be missing the first letter
so unable to locate.
Beginning with ORA no matches

You shall need to find someone with ...
The Crown and Posthorn cancellations were last listed (including rarity factors) in the 2002 Norgeskatalogen, which I may be able to supply. Please inquire.

I know a little Norway (my ancestors are from Buskerud), but I couldn't find much. What agencies had access to the official stamps? That could narrow it down unless they were used nationwide.

Edit: Found it thanks to another Norway thread link. Skoravikja

I agree, well done Ray.
I had your previous storavijka as Sweden
There was storaviki and others close, but could not crack it.

There was also optical error on my behalf, I would have sworn there was only room for 1 letter preceding ORA.

Did you notice the postmark shown by Edziu is different ?
The last leg of the A in the postmark, ends in the middle of the Posthorn, which differs from Ray's examples..........

SKORAVIKA letterhouse II was created on February 1, 1944 (in Vatne herred) in bipostrute no.5277. The name was changed to SKORAVIKJA from 1 June 1944.
The crown posthorn stamp was sent in January 1944 and a new stamp in May 1944 in associated with the change of the form of the name.
The letterhouse was closed on 30 June 1967

Dashed if I can find Skoravikja anywhere on a map

The Skoravika postmark is aligned slightly different than the Skoravikja postmark next to it.

I couldn't find it on the map either, but once I happened on that website link (thanks to nigelc) I was able to search *ora*kja and find it straight away.
