dear colleagues, I need your help. I purchased this stamp last week. The seller had the description "Local Post 1920". I contacted him but he has no other info. I could not find anything in the catalogue or on the internet. Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

Private overprint used by the German National People's Party during the Weimar Republic ,most likely during the 1920's elections

Floortrader is right, a lot of these stamps were used for polital messages. They were used because due to hyperinflation they were pretty much worthless or no longer valid.

Shown a example of my collection. Deutschland erwache. Roughly translated: Wake up Germany.
