I continue to be puzzled by transliterations in the early South Korea flower cancels. May I have some help, please?
From the left:
"SEOUL DOUGDO" What is/was Dougdo?
Not a flower cancel but still intriguing, "KOREA COAL...." Coal what?
"DA...KU" Daegu?
"GUGGA TAEGEON CHO....HOE EUI CHO...." What is/was this?
Incidentally, I got to spend a wonderful semester as a visiting professor at Seoul's Sungkyunkwan University in 1988. Just in time to be able to attend my only Olympics! Truly memorable. I never got past "Good Morning" in learning any Korean. I taught in English and advised the English-language student newspaper.
Thanks in advance for any help.
