Sorting out my stuff and found this smudged overprint on a US stamp. Does this make sense to anyone?

Just a bad printing. It says Evansville, Ind(diana). It is a precancelled stamp

Thanks Peter, what is something like that worth? Is this considered an erroneous overprint?

I am not sure if it is worth much - bad overprints on the precancels are fairly common and only of interest to a specialist collector

John Becker, funny enough, your first stamp at the top left looks like a portrait of trump (although I know it is not).
