Secretary typing addresses onto a whole pile got into a mental rut. There was a Casey in Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Washington at that time.

More like a PO error as well. There was an Ohio Oil Co. in Casey Ill. Which is 216 miles from Chicago.. Why not just forward to Casey. I guess it was easier to just stamp it & send it back.

No post office error. 3rd class with the address was not fully correct, so it went back. Different rule for different classes of mail.
