1948 Air Mail Route Halifax To Lisbon ?

Has any one got any info on the likely airmail route from Halifax to Lisbon in 1948 and the carrier.

I have just got a post card that went from Halifax on 16 August 1948, transited Lisbon on 19th and arrived in Gibraltar on the 21st. Any info would help the write up.
