The perforation looks normal to me but someone did a scissors job on it?

Peter, at the right the stamp has a second row of perfs, never seen that before

Have you tried searching here for the answer? I see what you mean now, and this has been mentioned before. If I remember correctly it is not unusual on some emissions

i did en found some examples on other revenue stamps. not bank check ones and not like this

also found a list of known fakes but this does not look like it.

perhaps one of the revenue specialists can shine some light on this one?

OK Dutch, I tried to search and came up with two possibilities that were mentioned.
One could be that the operator of the perforator entered the sheet wrongly in the machine and tied again.
The other explanation I saw was about a stamp store owner who found a perforator and double peforated lots of stamps to make a buck by fabricating some errors.
Some pictures of these errors were shown and the owners ere advised to have the stamps certified. Hope this helps,

thank you, thats pretty much what I found.

before sending for cert I would like some input from rev collectors what they think, if its I fake I would like to save my money ;-)

this salvage thats much longer than the perfs might also be of importance

There are many, many first issue revenues with extra perforations. Most of them are fake, with the extra perforations added. I'm not an expert on the subject, but yours looks like it could be real in light of the fact that it's on document and tied by the pen cancel. I think this one might be real too.
