Can You Clean Envelopes With Cachet On Them

I have several world war two ship launching cachets, is it possible to clean them? Don't want to ruin them. any input is appreciated.

If you can post some pictures we can make a better assessment. Some things can be cleaned - others cannot, but it depends on what has caused the soiling.

Because rust and glue typically have sunk down into the fibers of the paper they are likely going to be difficult to remove, if at all, without affecting the cachets.
