Can you please advise on this stamp Prince Carol type I from 1866?
I am totally puzzled by the connecting legs of the "R" in PAR.
Error or fake stamp?

It's a genuine stamp Type 1 (position 2 in the block report of 6 stamps)Its Type 1 because the greek ornaments on the side are symmetrical.Type 2 they are asymmetrical.
I think its just a printing flaw. Its not considered a variety.

Thank you perf12.
Although I have a 1974 Romanian specialized catalog (having the photo you've attached), nowhere says about the dot in the greek ornaments as shown in my stamp (right side top). And no words on this weird R.
Such a flaw will not go unnoticed or specified somewhere.
I think is original because it has some interesting markings on the back from different collectors however I will like more arguments.

White dot's are often found but are not in the block report.

A thin paper printing with a dot:

Awesome. Thank you guys. Now I know that my stamp is genuine.
Here is the back of it. I am not sure why people will mark it. In my opinion this will lower the value of it.

When stamps are expertised in many parts of continental Europe, the expert's mark is applied to the back of the stamp, which, if legitimate, would increase the commercial value. Collectors and dealers also used to mark the backs of stamps.
