I am not clear what issue is this one. 1884, 1892, 1902?
To me it has the vertical watermark. I might be wrong but than what is the difference between 1884 & 1902 both having vertical watermark?
Thank you.

Hi; Yours is the 1902 vertically laid paper(Lightning Bolts-emblem of the PTT)
1892 is Horizontally laid paper(Lightning bolts)
1884 is vertically laid paper-no L. Bolts(WMK)

Thanks buddy, you are a wealth of information. Too bad is not the 1884. Huge difference in value.

This discussion reminded me that I recently purchased a copy of the 7 ruble stamp from a circuit sales book identified as Sc. 70. I didn't examine it until I saw this thread. My stamp has the vertical laid paper and is perf 13 1/2. I see no watermark. Isn't the perforation also a determinant of the 1884 issue? Scott, however, includes a caveat about forgeries for the 1884 issue, especially with forged postmarks. What is the consensus on this stamp?

Don
