Searching for spurious Scott 500 listings and found this listing:

is there any up side for the seller? What might be significant about the plate block? Failure to use a scanner is not an answer.

The plate number is for Scott 499.

It's the error plate. So it's a bit better plate block anyway.

While looking at this sellers feedback it became apparent that he was using CK Stamps in his titles for some of his first listings. He stopped. Must have been nabbed. The photos were laughably bad. Another scammer.

HUH?!?!? Johl, Volume I (Page 209) indicates Plate 7942 was the TWO CENT with FIVE CENT Error OR SC#482.

You mean the 485 error plate which is 7942. The ebay item with plate number 7942 is 499. See Durland

7942 is also the error plate for 505, which is in sheets of 499.

Violent glue, perferated, part perfs in another post? Did I miss something in the definitions sections of books and catalogues that I read? I know canabis is now legal up in Canada, but do you think maybe someone else smoked a little too much and came up with new innovative definitions?
