I love the pristine fake Herst cards with the Nassau street address. Does anyone really think the corners of a decades old dealer card would never be bumped? These cards look like they just came of the printer. Were top opening clear mounts even available during the Herman Herst 116 Nassua street location days? Don |

Laughable. The glossy surface of the black printing on those corner cards is a byproduct of modern laser printing. Offset printed black, especially from that era, does not have that glossy surface.
And the bid is over $4K. P.T. Barnum was right: There's one born every minute. |

Willwood - Given that the perforations are fake there are three distinct possibilities as to what is going on here. An outright reproduction, an altered cardboard proof or an altered proof on India. After being created it was gummed. Perhaps others can add their thoughts as to what was done here. |

The paper is entirely too white, and clearly not correct for the regular issue.
Combined with the perforations - it just screams that this is a perforated proof or similar manufactured item. |

Somebody is reading this thread. The listing has been ended. https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/26398641...252F-%25252F263986419712%25253Fhash%25253Ditem3d76d11800%25253Ag%25253Ais8aaosw8mzbwhje%25252F%252526nordt%25253Dtrue%252526orig_cvip%25253Dtrue%252523itemTitle%2526srcrot%253D711-53200-19255-0%2526rvr_id%253D1708841311684%2526rvr_ts%253D8834d5b91660aadcce356c2bfff5fa66&ul_noapp=true |

Or, given the Cartel's shenanigans, they may very well have contacted the high bidder to negotiate a quick-sell price off ebay. Churn and burn. I highly doubt that discussions here or anywhere else would prompt a Cartel seller to end a listing. It never has before. |

Guess we can expect to see better fakes now, ones with simulated aging added to the cards. Need to make Philip proud, and speaking of which...how are the visits going? Don |
